Safe, Nurturing, and Reliable Child Care
Miss Mona’s Daycare opened in 1999 after a generous gift from Miss Mona Nafziger, a lifelong teacher and friend to our community of Hopedale, IL. Many of her former students will remember her inspirational lessons, she lived across the street from Hopedale Medical Complex and that she always had a warm smile to all she encountered “Children First!” is our philosophy. We utilize a family approach, incorporating numerous activities that nurture children mentally, physically, and emotionally. Creativity is essential in a child's play and Miss Mona's takes this philosophy very seriously. We offer many outlets for inspiration and creativity understanding that these foundational skills are used in learning to problem solve once they reach adulthood.
We provide full-time and part-time care to those aged 6 weeks to 6 years. Miss Mona’s Daycare is licensed through the Illinois Department of Child and Family Services and participates in the DHS Subsidy program.
If you are interested in childcare services, contact Miss Mona’s Director, Opal Kuban at 309-449-4933 or email omeyer@hopedalemc.com to request an application.

What Our Parents are Saying:
“Miss Mona’s and their staff have been a wonderful blessing to this working mother. The peace of mind that I have each day knowing that my children are well taken care of and so close in proximity to my work is priceless. The level of communication and accommodation to the individual child’s needs is unmatched. I wouldn’t have my children in daycare anywhere else!!” – Emily
“The staff at Miss Mona’s is WONDERFUL! My child has attended from age 4 months (he’s now 3) and he loves going to daycare. All of his teachers are just like family. They have shared smiles and tears, triumphs and fears. Due to the phenomenal communication between the staff and parents, I never feel like I miss out on any aspect of my child’s development. Miss Mona’s provides age appropriate and developmentally stimulating activities in structured classrooms. As a working mom, I am SO blessed that I have such kind, caring and motivated early childhood educators to care for my child.” – Kelly
