Hopedale, IL – Registration is now open for the 10th Annual Major Reid Nannen Memorial 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, July 4, 2026. The 5K will begin at 7:30am and the 1- Mile Walk will follow at 8:00am. Participants of both races will enjoy a post-race party with snacks and beverages! The race begins at the Hopedale Wellness Center, 222 NW Grove Street, Hopedale, IL. Help us celebrate 10 Years and 1 Mission!
The Major Reid Nannen Memorial 5K Run/Walk honors U.S. Marine Major Reid B. Nannen, a Hopedale native, who gave his life in service while training at TOPGUN NAS in Fallon, Nevada on March 1, 2014. Reid was a graduate of Olympia High School and the University of Illinois.
To be a part of the 5K or 1 Mile Walk, participants should register online at https://runsignup.com/Race/IL/Hopedale/MajorReidNannenMemorial5K. To be a part of the 5K, that will begin at 7:30am, register now at the link above and choose your shirt color up until June 14. After June 15, complimentary race t-shirts are available while supplies last. Day of registration is available until 7:00am at the check-in table.
